Terms of Use

for the EyeMinute mobile application

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the EyeMinute mobile application ("the App"), operated by Sommer Media s.r.o., Oldřichovice 738, 739 61 Třinec, Czech Republic, Company Registration No. (IČO): 27760766. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store / Google Play terms and these Terms.

Premium unlock

EyeMinute is free to download and includes the 20-20-20 timer, gentle reminders, voice guidance, three guided exercises, and your daily streak at no cost - with no ads and no account. The optional one-time premium unlock adds all 10 guided exercises, the full Progress view (weekly chart, totals, and best streak), and additional eye colors.

Available option:

  • EyeMinute Lifetime: $1.99 USD base price. Your local App Store or Google Play shows the final amount with applicable currency conversion and VAT. One-time purchase, no subscription, no recurring charges.

No auto-renewal

The premium unlock is a one-time purchase. There are no recurring charges and nothing to cancel. Once purchased, it stays unlocked on the same Apple ID / Google account that completed the purchase.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Refunds are handled according to those platforms' policies. We have no direct control over refunds.

User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Bypass technical limitations or paywalls
  • Submit feedback containing unlawful, harmful, or harassing content

Intellectual property

All content in the App - including graphics, icons, copy, and the EyeMinute name and logo - is owned by Sommer Media s.r.o. or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or use App content outside the App.

Disclaimer

EyeMinute is a wellness and habit-building tool for taking regular screen breaks. It is NOT a medical device and does NOT diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any eye condition or disease. The 20-20-20 rule and the exercises are general eye-comfort guidance, NOT medical, optometric, or health advice. For any concern about your eyes or vision, consult a qualified professional. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sommer Media s.r.o. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the premium unlock, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country are not affected.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for a breach of these Terms or for legal reasons. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you reside.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
